During the past half dozen years, we have visited as many museums as we can, locating Morefield mine specimens. While in the future we will have an article for each, at the moment there are links to each of the organizations we have observed to have specimens.
Sweet and Penick (1986, p. 17) note that a superbly-carved necklace with 27 large Amazonite beads was created by artisans in Oberstein, Germany. The museum purchased it in April of 1962. At time of press for that article, this necklace was still being exhibited at that location. Bill Baltzley provided a photo of his necklace, which was included in the article.
Note: If you become aware of other museums with specimens, please Contact Us, and we will determine whether they can be added to this site.
